Biography

John Simon, Ph.D., joined the faculty at NIU in 1973. Prior to coming to NIU, John had seven years of collegiate teaching experience. He held the PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP Professorship from 1992-1997 and has received the Excellence in Undergraduate Teaching Award. He has also been selected as a Presidential Teaching Professor.

He teaches financial accounting at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. He was the faculty advisor to Beta Alpha Psi from 1995-2000. He was the director of the Master in Accounting Science (MAS) program since December 1997. John participated in the NIU CPA Review Program from 1976 to 2005.
